This specimen features bi-pyramidal wulfenite crystals, a less common habit compared to the typical thin, tabular form. Bi-pyramidal refers to crystals shaped like two pyramids joined base-to-base, creating a sharp, double-terminated, three-dimensional form.
Wulfenite (PbMoO₄) occurs in the oxidized zones of lead deposits and is well known from the Ojuela Mine, a classic mineral locality. Bi-pyramidal crystals from this area are limited to specific pockets and are less frequently encountered than standard plate-like specimens.
