Mount Malosa is part of the Zomba Massif in southern Malawi and is well known for producing unusual mineral specimens. The area has been collected for decades and is particularly noted for large, well-formed crystals.

The mountain has produced smoky quartz, orthoclase, aegirine, and several other minerals. Mount Malosa is one of Malawi's better-known collector localities and is especially recognized for its distinctive pegmatite specimens.
