Pyrite on Fluorite

This specimen formed in hydrothermal veins where multiple stages of mineralization deposited fluorite first, followed by metallic pyrite crystals across the earlier growth. The El Hammam Mine is known for producing attractive fluorite associations with well-formed sulfide minerals from Morocco’s mineral-rich interior.

The contrast between reflective pyrite and translucent fluorite captures the layered sequence of crystal growth, preserving both metallic brilliance and geometric clarity within a single piece.
