Obicular Jasper (aka "Ocean Jasper")

This Ocean Jasper comes from the coastal deposits near Marovato in northwestern Madagascar, one of the most well-known localities for this material. Some of the original deposits were so close to the shoreline they could only be collected at low tide, which helped make Ocean Jasper especially famous among collectors.Pieces from this area are known for their orb patterns and mix of greens, creams, pinks, yellows, and earthy tones.
