Native Silver

This native silver formed in hydrothermal veins, where silver-rich fluids crystallized within fractures in the host rock under moderate temperatures. The San Martín Mine, part of Zacatecas’ long mining history, is known for producing fine metallic specimens from one of Mexico’s most important silver regions.

Bright and naturally metallic, this specimen reflects both the geologic processes that concentrate precious metals and the enduring legacy of silver mining in central Mexico.
