Native Copper

This native copper formed within hydrothermal deposits, where copper-rich fluids crystallized in fractures and cavities, sometimes producing intricate, branching metallic forms. The Daye mining region is one of China’s oldest and most significant metal-producing areas, with a long history of copper extraction.

Naturally metallic and often sculptural, this specimen reflects both the raw beauty of copper in its pure state and the deep mining heritage of one of China’s classic metallogenic regions.
