Manganocalcite on Sphalerite

The Trepča mining complex near Mitrovica is one of Europe’s major lead-zinc-silver mining districts and is  known for its mineral specimens. Its underground deposits have produced combinations of metallic black sphalerite with calcite, rhodochrosite, pyrite, and other sulfide minerals.
