Geode

Drawer C-MN0303

$85.00 USD

Locality:

Tabasco, Zaxatecas, Mexico

Dimensions:

5.5 x 4.5 x 4.5

These small geodes formed within cavities in ancient volcanic rock, where mineral-rich groundwater slowly deposited layers of agate along the walls, followed by sparkling drusy quartz crystals at the center. The Tabasco area of Zacatecas is known for producing some of the smallest geodes in the world, often only a few centimeters across.

Despite their size, these geodes reveal a complete miniature crystal world within—quiet records of volcanic activity, time, and mineral growth preserved inside an unassuming stone.
