Forsterite

Sapat Gali is located in the Kaghan Valley, a mountainous area known for its mineral localities. The valley is part of the western Himalayas and has been an important area for geological and mineral collecting.

Forsterite from this area is associated with the region’s ultramafic and metamorphic rocks. The remote mountain setting makes specimens from Sapat Gali less commonly encountered than material from major Pakistani mineral districts.
