Locality:

Okorusu Mine, Otjiwarongo District, Otjozondjupa Region, Namibia

Dimensions:

3.5 x 2 x 4cm

The Okorusu Mine is one of Namibia’s most important fluorite localities, developed as a large-scale industrial source of high-grade material. Beyond its economic significance, the mine has produced collectible specimens known for their clarity, color, and sharp crystal form.

Fluorite from Okorusu formed in hydrothermal veins associated with carbonatite-related mineralization, where fluorine-rich fluids deposited crystals in open spaces within the host rock.

Material from this locality is well regarded among collectors for its combination of strong color, clean crystal structure, and consistent quality from a classic African locality.
