The Okorusu Mine is one of Namibia’s best-known fluorite localities and has produced specimens since mining began in the 20th century. It is located near Otjiwarongo in central Namibia.

The “Butterfly Pocket” is a named pocket known for its distinctive fluorite crystals and unusual crystal groupings. Okorusu specimens are also well known for their strong fluorescence under UV light.
