Fluorite and Barite

The Jaimina Mine is part of the famous Berbes mining district on Spain’s northern coast. The district has been mined for centuries and is one of Spain’s best-known fluorite localities.

Jaimina became especially important to mineral collectors after mining produced excellent fluorite specimens in the 20th century. The mine is known for colorful fluorite, often found with barite, and specimens from the area are highly sought after by collectors.
