Locality:

Flux Mine, Patagonia, Arizona, USA

Dimensions:

3.5 x 4 x 3cm

This cerussite formed in the oxidized zone of a lead-rich deposit, where primary galena was altered by oxygen-bearing waters to produce bright, highly reflective secondary crystals. The Flux Mine in southern Arizona is known for yielding sharp, well-formed cerussite with excellent luster and occasional twinning.

Delicate yet brilliant, this specimen reflects the natural transformation of ore minerals near the Earth’s surface and the rich mineral heritage of the Patagonia mining district.
