Calcite

Manaoshan Mine is part of the Dongpo Ore Field, a mining area near Chenzhou in Hunan Province. The district has been worked for centuries and is one of the better-known mineral-producing areas in southern China.

The mine is known for producing a wide range of collector specimens, with calcite commonly found in cavities within the workings. Specimens from Manaoshan are valued for their connection to this long-established mining district.
