Topaz

Padre Paraíso is located in the Jequitinhonha Valley, one of Brazil’s important gemstone producing regions. The area is known for its numerous pegmatite workings, many of which are small-scale mines and prospects scattered through the surrounding hills. Topaz is one of the gemstones found in the region, alongside famous Brazilian minerals such as tourmaline and beryl.
