This fossil tooth comes from the Kem Kem Basin of Morocco, one of the most famous dinosaur fossil localities in North Africa. The region is especially known for remains of Spinosaurus aegyptiacus, a massive predatory dinosaur believed to have lived both on land and in the water.
Spinosaurus teeth are recognized by their long, conical shape, which was ideal for catching fish and other prey. Fossils from the Kem Kem beds have become highly collectible because of the area’s rich prehistoric history and the variety of dinosaur material found there. ✨
