This schorl tourmaline formed within granitic pegmatites, where boron-rich fluids crystallized into elongated black prismatic crystals during the final stages of magma cooling. The Erongo Mountains are world-renowned for producing exceptional pegmatite minerals, including striking tourmaline specimens associated with quartz and feldspar.

Dark, sharply defined, and naturally sculptural, this specimen reflects the slow crystallization processes that shaped Namibia’s famous pegmatite deposits and their remarkable mineral diversity.
