Rose Quartz

Taquaral is a known locality for crystallized rose quartz in Brazil. The area is part of the region of Minas Gerais, and some of the rose quartz from here forms unusually well-defined crystals.

The Taquaral material is known for its strong pink color and glassy luster. The Ilha Claim in particular has produced classic rose quartz specimens, sometimes with other pegmatite minerals such as eosphorite and zanazziite.
