Pyrite with Fluorite

The C.E. Duff & Son Quarry is a limestone quarry in west-central Ohio that has become known by collectors for producing fluorite, pyrite, calcite, and other minerals.

Fluorite from the quarry is often found associated with pyrite, creating a contrast between the metallic crystals and the fluorite. The locality has produced a variety of attractive mineral combinations and is considered one of Ohio's better-known collecting sites for crystallized specimens.
