The San Martín Mine is one of Mexico's best-known polymetallic deposits, producing lead, zinc, copper, and silver minerals.

This specimen combines several minerals commonly found in the district. Pyrite, tetrahedrite, chalcopyrite, and bournonite are all sulfide minerals associated with the mine's ore deposits, while mangano calcite adds a contrasting carbonate component.
