Beryl Var. Aquamarine

Drawer B-MN0061

$350.00 USD

Locality:

Ping Wu, Sichuan Province, China

Dimensions:

4.5 x 3.5 x 3 cm

This aquamarine formed within granitic pegmatites, where slow-cooling, mineral-rich fluids allowed large, well-formed beryl crystals to develop. The soft blue color is caused by trace amounts of iron within the crystal structure. The Pingwu region is known for producing elegant, transparent aquamarine with clean crystal form.

Cool in tone and refined in structure, this specimen reflects the calm conditions of pegmatite formation, capturing a moment of slow, uninterrupted crystal growth deep within the Earth.
