Beryl Var. Aquamarine

This aquamarine formed within granitic pegmatites, where slow-cooling, mineral-rich fluids allowed well-formed beryl crystals to develop. Trace amounts of iron give the crystal its characteristic blue color. Namibia is known for producing high-quality aquamarine with excellent clarity and soft, ocean-like tones.
