Lattice Quartz

Mount Ida is located in the Ouachita Mountains and is a well known quartz producing area in the United States. Arkansas has been a major source of quartz crystals for collectors for generations.

“Lattice Quartz” refers to an unusual growth pattern where the crystals form an open, interconnected structure. Mount Ida specimens are especially popular with collectors because the area has produced a wide variety of distinctive quartz formations from its many crystal mines.
