Iridescent Quartz

This quartz comes from the Vortex Pocket at the Zigras Mine in Garland County, one of the more common Arkansas quartz finds. The pocket produced large, clear crystals as well as unusual material with phantoms, inclusions, and different surface effects. Some of the crystals were large enough to make impressive cabinet specimens, while others showed more unusual features.
