Iridescent Goethite

Bukit Ketata is a locality in Pahang, a region of Malaysia known for its tin-mining and tropical mineral deposits.

The area is particularly interesting for collector specimens of goethite with natural iridescent surfaces, which can display shifting colors as light moves across the specimen. These goethite specimens are relatively distinctive compared with the more common brown and yellow forms.
