The 79 Mine in Arizona’s Banner Mining District is known for its lead, zinc, and copper deposits, which produced a variety of secondary minerals. Hemimorphite from this locality often forms pale blue, rounded coatings or hollow, shell-like growths, sometimes alongside calcite and other zinc minerals.

The mine became a classic Arizona collecting locality for its hemimorphite and wulfenite specimens, with notable finds from the late 1960s through the 1990s.
