Green Apophyllite

Drawer B- MN0335

$65.00 USD

Locality:

Deccan Traps, Rahuri, India

Dimensions:

3 x 3 x 4cm

This green apophyllite formed in cavities within the basalt flows of the Deccan Traps, where mineral-rich fluids slowly crystallized glassy, well-defined crystals along open surfaces. The Rahuri region is known for producing vibrant apophyllite specimens associated with India’s famous zeolite deposits.

Transparent, luminous, and naturally geometric, this specimen reflects the gentle post-volcanic mineralization processes that created some of the world’s finest apophyllite crystals.
