Fluorite with Quartz

The Okorusu Mine is one of Namibia’s known mineral localities and was originally developed as a fluorspar mine. It later became especially important to collectors for the exceptional mineral specimens recovered from its workings.

Okorusu is famous for producing fluorite in a wide range of colors, often associated with quartz and other well-formed crystals. The mine has produced some of Namibia’s most recognizable fluorite specimens and remains a classic African locality for collectors.
