Fluorite, Spinel Law Twin, Quartz and Schorl

The Erongo Region is one of Namibia’s famous mineral producing areas and is known worldwide for exceptional pegmatite and granite-hosted specimens.

This combination includes fluorite, quartz showing Spinel-Law twinning, and black schorl tourmaline. Twinned quartz is especially interesting because the crystals grew in an unusual symmetrical arrangement, while schorl provides a nice contrast alongside the quartz and fluorite.
