Endlicite

This endlichite formed in the oxidized zone of a vanadium-rich deposit, where mineral-bearing solutions altered primary ores and deposited bright yellow to orange crystals in pockets within the host rock. The Los Lamentos district is well known among collectors for its suite of secondary minerals, particularly vivid vanadates like endlichite.

Striking in color and uncommon in occurrence, this specimen reflects the unique chemistry of oxidation processes in arid environments and represents a classic locality for this distinctive mineral species.
