Dolomite

Black Rock is a small town in Lawrence County in northeastern Arkansas, near the Ozark Plateau. The surrounding region has a long history of quarrying and mining, with many sedimentary rock formations containing collectible minerals.

Dolomite is found in the area's sedimentary rock formations and is part of the diverse mineral history of northeastern Arkansas. Specimens from Black Rock represent a lesser-known Arkansas locality compared with the state's famous quartz-producing areas.
