"Hello, Mortals."
It started out as a personal database and then gradually turned into what we know now as Mindat. His love for collecting minerals started at the young age of 6. He went on a family trip to Cornwall, England where he picked up a pebble that had quartz inside. That one pebble has led him to a lifetime of gem and mineral collecting. Pictured above is Jolyon's first specimen.
The crew at Mineral Nexus asked Jolyon how long he has been collecting. This was his response:
He wanted to share a story with us as well...
“So a guy was living with his uncle and aunt out in the desert, and his weird old friend told him about his dead dad, and they went to the city, got into some trouble and had to leave. They ended up on a space station where they found his sister was a prisoner, the weird old friend was killed by a guy in a black mask so they escaped and came back later and blew up his space station.”
Haters will say it's Star Wars.
